Mark Brown, Chief Marketing Advisor at Pre Paid Legal, is our guest speaker for today. Mark spoke on how everyone in America wants to be a business owner. In the past, he ran a printing business and as he would train people to work for him, they would become good at what they did and enjoyed it. Soon, they would leave his company, open their own business and take their customers. But with Pre Paid, when you train someone to do the business right and they find that they enjoy doing it, you benefit from it just as much as they do. Reason is, people see what it takes to be successful in a business and what it is they need to do to advance further in our company. We don’t sign up to be a owner of a company that is nothing but a debt collection; we sign up to run a respectable business owner. We have all heard that small business owners are losing their companies because of IRS issues. They get in trouble financially and tend to spend money that was put aside for tax purposes. This in turn, causes them to lose the company they have worked hard to build. That’s when you should show them to our product. A lot of business owners don’t know where to turn to for help and we are helping them by directing them to the place that they need to go to save their business. Now to get in the door to talk to the owner, you can’t walk in with that “I want to sale you something” attitude. You have to go in as someone who wants to help. Business owners are going to be more willing to speak to you if are there to help and not there to sale. As Pre Paid associates, we have the best opportunity today because no one does what we do; no one has the product we have. But we have to be out in the field sharing the benefits of our product.
Jennifer Christian talked to everyone about the Breakfast with Fran event and how well it has done for many associates. The last breakfast for the year will be tomorrow, December 17, and the guest speaker on the call will be Fran Tarkenton. For those of you who are all ready signed up to host this event, make sure to call and remind your guest to be present for this event. If you plan on hosting the first event of the year on January 16, 2010, contact us at the Small Business Support Center at 866-467-6249 to set this event up. Need more information, just go to www.pplbizplan.com and you’ll be able to get more information on the breakfast there.
Jeff wrapped the call up by reminding everyone to follow up with the business owners by going and showing how good the plan is. While you’re there, show them how to use their Gosmallbiz website so that they can tap into the benefits of the plan that you sold them. If they don’t know how to do these things, their not going to keep their plan; which will then lead to chargebacks for you. But if you show them these few things, this could keep your relationship with this business owner strong, keep them on the books and possibly lead to referrals for you in the future.
