Nick Serba opened the call, then turned the call over to Jeff Cordle who announced the sales for last week.

Melissa Wilder was the speaker on today’s call.  Melissa has been named group trainer of the year.  Her background consist of being in the Army then into transportation.  Melissa stated that what is logical is not always legal.  She talked about how business owners need to have professionals surrounding them.  Melissa encouraged the associates to do all divisions of PrePaid.  When she goes in to do a group she also talks to the owner about the small business plan.  She states it is easier to talk to a small business owner now then ever before because the need for the small business plan is so huge.  Melissa encouraged everyone to get involved in the business community.  She said you have to make yourself different.  If you see a grand opening or new location sign, put away your business hat, stop and welcome them to the community.  She said that the Breakfast with Fran is a great way let the new business owner know about PrePaid and also give them a chance to network with other business owners.
Nick ask Melissa what was a couple of problems that she saw when the associates joined a chamber but didn’t see anything new with their business. She stated one thing was they paid their dues but didn’t get involved.  It is also important to pick your time to sell and when not to. Melissa’s tip for everyone was to take the dollar sign out of your head and focus on the client., share and educate then let them make an informed decision.

Jeff spoke about the 10K in 10 contest.  They are confirming winners for January and they will be listed on pplbizplan.com later this afternoon.
