High speed access to Internet is strongly recommended, but
not required. The videos will work with Dial-Up connections, however this slower
speed connection
will result in starting and stopping of the video while it buffers.

Challenges Playing Videos
(for non-video
issues, click here)
Cannot get video to play (AOL):
Some associates found that running the course using Internet Explorer instead of the AOL browser worked successfully.
- minimize the AOL browser
- open Microsoft Internet Explorer [click Start (lower left hand corner), click on Programs and select Internet Explorer]
Note: Make sure Internet Explorer is at version 6.0 or greater. (To determine
the version, open Internet Explorer, select Help and then click About Internet
Explorer. The version will appear on the page that is displayed.)
- In the Address bar enter http://www.pplbizplan.com
- Click on Return to Online Certification Course, located in right hand corner in red letters
- log into the course again.
The video freezes.
The entire training video is broken up into several clips, which are played
throughout the course. The first clip, which you viewed, carries over just
a little too far and includes 2 seconds of Nick Serba. At this point, you'll
need to close the video window and click on the next page down in the Table
of Contents, located on the left side of the main trainer page.
The video won't play. I get an error.
This could be caused by several factors including old version of Adobe Flash
Player
or
you don't have Flash Player installed at all.
The videos stop and start a lot.
The starting and stopping is called buffering and unfortunately occurs fairly often when using a dial-up account to access the Internet. You may want to try connecting again during a different time of day in hopes of obtaining a higher transfer speed. The course is best utilized with a broadband connection to the Internet.
You can also hit the Pause button until green loading bar under the video
is full. That means you've loaded the whole video, and shoud not get any choppiness
I'm logged in, now where do I go?
Once you have logged in, click the "View the Content" link on the right
side of the section to enter it. Once in a section, you can come back
by clicking the "Table of Contents" link on the right.
The red and green buttons below the video player are the sections in the chapter
you're in. Green for completed sections and red for incomplete sections. Grey
boxes are jut placeholders.
How do I reprint my completion certificate?
Click on Report, scroll to the bottom of the window that pops up and click
on "Re-print PPL Small Business Plans..." button. If the certificate won't
print:
- check for adobe reader updates by opening the reader (start>Programs>Adobe Reader), selecting Help and Check for Updates. If your reader is updated, try printing again.
- Restart your computer to clear the memory and try reprinting the certificate.
