New Plan
Expanded Small Business Plan

GoSmallBiz ToolBox Updates & Resources
for Associates

The new Expanded Small Business Plan was launched November 2008. We are targeting Small Business Associates who are actively working the Small Business market (i.e., have sold 5 or more small business plans).

Trainings and updates are being conducted via webinars. We are finding that type of training is easiest for associates where you can see everything being shown (as compared to squinting in a classroom to see the projection screen) and don't have to travel.

How do I find my serial number?
You can find your serial number by logging into your account on GoSmallBiz.com. While logged in, open your member menu and click on the “My Downloads” in the right column. The next page contains instructions for downloading the desktop-based Employee File Manager application along with the 32-character serial number that you will be prompted to enter upon opening the File Manager for the first time.

For future reference, you can always retrieve your serial number by returning to this page while logged into your GoSmallBiz.com account. Click to return to list of questions

Will the ToolBox run on Windows Vista?
The Employee File Manager can be installed and operated on Windows XP SP2 and all later versions of the Windows operating system, including Windows Vista. You can access all of the Web-based applications in the ToolBox using any popular Internet browser, on either a Mac or a PC. Click to return to list of questions

Will the ToolBox run on a Mac?
Whether you're using a Mac or a PC, the six Web-based applications in the ToolBox can be accessed using any popular Web browser, including Safari. However, to ensure the security of our members' (and their employees') personal information, the Employee File Manager has been designed as a desktop application, which currently can only be installed on a Windows operating system.

We recognize the challenges this presents to many of our members. So, as we perform regular updates and improvements to the Small Business ToolBox, one of our primary goals is to bring its valuable features to greater numbers of small business owners by making every application accessible no matter where you are — or what type of operating system you are using.

We regret that the Employee File Manager is not currently available for direct installation on a Mac. Nonetheless, there are options for Mac users who would like to use the Employee File Manager on a Mac computer. Boot Camp, one of Apple’s most recent introductions, comes standard with the Leopard operating system and allows you to run Windows on a Mac computer if there's a PC application you need to access. Using Boot Camp, you will be able to operate the Employee File Manager just as if you were on a Windows-based PC. For more information about Boot Camp, click here <http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/bootcamp.html>.

What are the system requirements for the ToolBox?
Certain versions of our software will likely have different system requirements as we take advantage of new technologies to improve the ToolBox in both functionality and the end user’s experience. For the most current information about system requirements, see the individual product pages for each application in the ToolBox:

How do I activate my ToolBox membership?
Note: When you activate your Small Business ToolBox, you will be prompted to download a file. This file contains the ToolBox Desktop Launcher as well as the desktop-based Employee File Manager application. Because your ToolBox membership only allows for a single download of this package, please be certain to download this file to the computer on which you plan to access your Employee File Manager and store all of your employee data.

Activating your ToolBox is easy, but there are a couple of ways to do it. For new members to both GoSmallBiz and the Small Business ToolBox, see New Members below. For GoSmallBiz members who recently purchased the ToolBox upgrade, see Existing Members. NOTE SOMEWHERE: We don’t supply member Ids – you get that in your packet – if you’ve lost it, contact prepaid legal customer support.
